About Us

The Creativity Shell is a nonprofit organization on a mission to use creative trades to educate and inspire the next generation of makers. We teach children important life skills, positive mental health strategies, and self-confidence through hands-on classes in sewing, textile arts, cooking, building, coding, and more. Our programs are designed to support children’s social and emotional development while also giving them practical skills they can carry into adulthood. Whether we’re working with children in schools, libraries, shelters, or in our own studios, our goal is always the same—empower young minds through creativity.

One of the most exciting and impactful events we host each year is our Creativity Rocks fashion show. Now in its 10th year, this show is more than just a runway—it’s a celebration of everything our students have learned and created. Inspired by the Met Gala, this unforgettable event gives students the opportunity to design and model their own clothing, showcasing their creativity, courage, and individuality in front of a live audience. It’s a powerful reminder of how artistic expression can build confidence, connect communities, and transform lives.

The 2025 Creativity Rocks fashion show also serves as a vital fundraiser to support our newest initiative: the launch of Creativity Shell Pods in schools. These mobile classroom kits will bring creative education directly into school campuses, expanding access to our innovative programs and helping us reach even more children. Every ticket sold, every donation given, and every cheer from the audience helps us continue our work of inspiring the next generation of makers.
